Biography

The Northport Wellness Center is pleased to welcome board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Melissa Crimi, RN, MSN, CPNP.

Melissa will be complementing Northport Wellness Center‘s holistic board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Jennifer Zethner, RN, MS, CPNP by offering expanded hours for current and new patients with availability on Friday and Saturday beginning September.

Prior to joining Simply Pediatrics, Melissa worked in a busy Long Island pediatric practice where she offered families alternative treatment options for their children, avoiding the use of unnecessary medications.

Melissa favors a more holistic approach to her patient care with the understanding and respect that each child and their family has unique goals, needs and philosophy of health.

Melissa also has experience working in the Pediatric Emergency Room (ER), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and in the home care of medically fragile newborns.

Melissa graduated from Suffolk County Community College in 2010 with an Associate Degree of Science in Nursing. She continued on with her education at Stony Brook University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (2013) and a Master of Science degree in Nursing/Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (2016).

Melissa is thrilled to join the Northport Wellness Center‘s holistic pediatric primary care practice,  Simply Pediatrics, where Jennifer Zethner, RN, MS, CPNP has been the sole owner and practitioner since 2014 providing holistic care to children of all ages.

Melissa is married and has two young children. She enjoys spending her spare time with her family going on local outings or simply enjoying each other’s company at home. Melissa is an avid baker and is constantly experimenting with new recipes.
