AIRmedicine is a program established by Hyperbaric Medical Solutions (HMS) to deliver state-of-the-art regenerative medicine techniques for optimized healing, recovery, and performance enhancement.
AIRmedicine is led by HMS’s Medical Director, Alan Katz, MD, FUHM, FACEP, FAAEM. Multiple modalities—including the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and a combination of intravenous vitamin and mineral infusions—are used to support tissue repair and/or to overcome health challenges and achieve optimal health.

PRP Therapy
PRP therapy is a highly effective surgical alternative that uses a patient’s own blood components to stimulate healing in damaged tissues. Platelets are small, irregularly-shaped clear cell fragments that attract STEM cells, stimulate cellular growth, and help the body form blood clots.
During PRP therapy, a blood sample is drawn and prepared using a high-speed centrifuge to separate the blood into distinct layers, one of which contains PRP. This gold-colored plasma with a high concentration of platelets is used to accelerate the body’s self-healing by precise injection. The PRP spreads growth factors to areas otherwise untouched by blood (e.g., ligaments, tendons, and joints). Due to PRP’s use of the patient’s own blood, there is little risk of rejection, and dangers posed by bloodborne infections are virtually eliminated.
IV Therapy
AIRmedicine offers select intravenous infusions as part of the regenerative medicine program. The benefit of IV-administered nutrients is increased absorption and the avoidance of any malabsorption that often comes with an oral dose of vitamins. IV infusions offered by AIRmedicine include Glutathione and Myers’ Cocktail. IV vitamin therapy is the only delivery method with 100% bioavailability, in which all nutrients are delivered directly into the bloodstream.
