In her practice Counseling for Creating Connections, Northport Wellness Center Alliance Member and holistic counselor and therapist, Cathy Donnelly, takes an integrative wellness approach to assist individuals in discovering subconscious patterns and beliefs that interfere with achieving optimal health and wellness.
Cathy has an MS in Counseling Psychology from Fordham University, is RYT 200 Yoga Certified, and has 27 years of experience counseling teens, families and individuals with special needs in and out of the school system and in both public and private schools.
Cathy customizes therapy to meet the individual needs of each of her clients. Services provided include:
- Mindfulness practice
- Writing/Artistic expression
Cathy's goal is to support individuals in overcoming obstacles so that they can better connect, heal, and rise to a higher level of being.
Cathy's treatment protocol entails empowering her clients to identify their own alignment: emotionally, spiritually, and energetically. She has been working privately on deepening her intuitive abilities.
Having previously worked in a public education setting, Cathy is familiar with the overwhelming increase in anxiety and depression for children, teens and adults. She takes an integrated wellness approach with each of her clients so that they may experience greater perspective, clarity, and ultimately achieve their health and wellness goals.

Cathy created and led Prana Yoga of Northport (2013-2016) in the Northport Village Community. Prana Yoga was the first Yoga studio on Long Island to host Kundalini teacher training and Kirtan with such "Yoga Rock star "artists as Jai Jagadeesh and Simrit. In addition, Cathy shared the practice of yoga and mindfulness in schools and community centers. Her experience spans the ages of 2 to 92!
